Strelitzia, common name of the genus is bird of paradise flower, because of a supposed resemblance of its flowers to the bird of paradise.

I like this very much with the white background. I'm not crazy about these flowers in reality, they're so stiff and sharp - but this is elegant.

Even when I saw it up close, I thought it had been painted. The leaves look so much like brush strokes. It's amazing :D
