Dancin and Dippin by thrumyeye Dancin and Dippin by thrumyeye
A few weeks ago, a Dipper (cinclus cinclus) arrived in our country.
It's a rare visitor that was last seen eight years ago...
Many photographers & twitchers took their chance to see this little bird and so did I.
It's one of the most relaxed and funnie birds I've ever seen.
It's constantly eating, 'dancing' or swimming and it doesn't seem to care about it's public at all...
And that's especially nice for short-lensed (300mm) people like me.

Lovely capture! I have them nesting next to the river in my garden (they come there every year) and I managed to get a few shots of the adults and the fledglings recently. Obviously, none of them are as good as this! Your shots are always so interesting and beautiful. You're a wonderful photographer!

Dit is echt heel knap hoor Roeselien! Niet inscherp, maar de beweging van de vleugels maakt er een opmerkelijk beeld van dat de middenmoot zeker overstijgt!

I was capable to shot a dipper only some years ago because they keep avoiding me dipping in the water of the torrent...
And what an awesome shot!

They are gorgeous little birds. It's interesting to see people get excited about the arrival of a bird in their country which is quite common in your own :).

People come from the other side of the country, travelling for hours, just to see this one bird ;)
So...in the UK country they are common?

Better short-lensed then short-sighted. ;)
Of course this makes me curious what your country is, since I assume Dippers aren't common there. Anyway, funny birds indeed and you where very well able to make a shot in that direction with a nice fore- and background. Lots of details too, since it seems like we can even see some very small 'dirt' flying of from shaking the feathers and wings.
