Amazing! :wow: I saw my first black necked grebe a couple of years ago but it was in winter plumage and not as pretty. :( It still had the amazing red eye though!

Mooi dat je hem zo gezien hebt! Ik heb zelf ook mijn eerste Geoorde fuut een weekje of twee geleden gezien. Hij was alleen wel nog in intermediar kleed tussen zomer en winter, dus nog niet zo mooi strak in het pak als deze hier. Geweldige foto! :D

Zeker omdat het maar zo'n klein vogeltje is kan ik me heel goed voorstellen dat ze gemakkelijk achter golfjes verdwijnen.

Very nice first time shot! Very tranquil setting--the colors of that calm water really help the grebe stand out.
