_{yesterday afternoon my father called to say the cat caught a grass snake... So I jumped on my bike to check it out...
It appeared to be a tiny little cute baby snake.....
As soon as a grass snake feel threatened he pretends to be dead. And believe me: grass snakes are brilliant actors...
But since I was fooled before I didn't buy it this time I silently waited for the snake to step out of its role.....and took my pictures...
And of course I brought him to a safe place afterwards...}

daww, he's so cute! Though I like the other one better, this goes for both, so I won't flood you with messages.

I'm amazed by the tongue, I don't think I recall ever seeing a photo with their tongue.

Now that's interesting, I've seen little grass snakes a few times, and they never pretended to be dead, rather started to run away in panic - the one I saw last week almost looped himself when he saw us

Anyway, I like the photo a lot, the way his scales and tongue are visible with little water drops... he's cute

It's beautiful...I love snakes .. We had two snakes..but they died .. unfortunately..
