A few weeks ago my father called me and said: "The cat caught a snake...!"
Is it big...?
Yes!
Does it look dangerous?
Yes!
All right...I'm on my way...!

And when I arrived, excited to see 'The Beast', it appeared to be a very cute, harmless baby grass snake, just a fwe inches large...

I had a similar incident with my parents in-law, a front step and a common garter snake

Brave cat!

How is the cat "brave" for attacking a harmless and tiny animal that cannot defend itself? That would be like calling a grown man "brave" for beating up an infant, or aGreat Dane "brave" for mauling a Toy Poodle.

Awesome use of focus/dof. The green of the grass, dew and the alertness of the snake add to this being a great picture.

Lovely story in the description x3
I haven't seen a snake in forever, since we had to get rid of Legs McGee, but this definitely makes me a little less fearful of these animals. c: Beautiful shot! ^^
