No inspiration for titles. It's cold, it's snowing and it's supposed to be spring. But....o well.....my house is warm and cosey...;)

The critically endangered Amur Leopard is possibly the rarest subspecies of leopard in the world with estimates of between 25 to 34 known individuals remaining in the wild.

Russian plans to build an oil pipeline through the last remaining habitat of the Amur leopard were recently redirected to a safer route after pressure from the WWF and other environmental organizations.

On April 16, 2007 a female was shot and killed by hunters, leaving only six females left in the wild.

Ugh...
how people can continue to do things that endanger these rare and beautiful species, for selfish reasons... is beyond me.

I don't understand how they manage NOT to care...??

Beautiful shot of a beautiful animal.

They SHOT one?? Is not not illegal to hunt these guys, or were they poachers? *#$&%^ curs.

Beautiful picture. It's horrible to think these creature may soon be no more. But there's still hope. California condors were down to nine specimens, and recovered with help. Maybe these can, too.
