I was so excited when I found a short eared owl (Asio Flammeus).....just wonderful birds with their gorgeously hypnotizing eyes...;)

Did you ever saw a baby short eared owl? They are adorable! They look exactly like those owl toys they used to make long ago :XD:

Did you find a baby SEO in the wild?

No, i haven't seen one in the wild.
I'm currently working as a volunteer at a birds of prey rescue center and they recieve many abandoned short eared owl chicks [link] . They're even funnier when they "puff-up" :XD:.

HI

My i ask what lens u are using... I am looking for a lens that is not costing a fortune like the nikon 400 mm F2.8 or Nikon 200-400 F4 or the Nikon 500mm /600mm lens ?

:iconthrumyeye:

Usually I'm using a Canon 300mm F4.0, eventually combined with a 1.4x converter
Only this once I used a 600mm from a colleague photographer.

I've never seen an owl with such wide eyes in such bright daylight, since they're night hunters and their eyes are sensitive.
